Your Role in Information Security at UHD

Information Security at UHD is everyone's responsibility. This information is provided to assist UHD students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors in doing their part to help keep UHD information and systems to which they have access secure. It will also help the university to comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures (see below).

How to Protect Your PC

It is important to maintain updated computer virus software and security updates in an effort to protect your computer from viruses and malicious exploits that have the potential to cause damage and/or perform unwanted/unauthorized functions on your computer.

The links and documents below provide additional information and access to available tools that will help keep your computer free of viruses and malicious software.

Contact Information

The Information Technology Service Desk is the centralized location for the university community to contact for all technology issues, including information security concerns or incidents.

Students may contact either Student Technology Services located in the Academic Computing Labs or the Service Desk during operating hours.

Faculty and Staff may contact the Service Desk directly by phone, in person, via remote desktop management, or email. Security concerns should be reported to the Service Desk at the earliest possible point to ensure University systems and information are not compromised in any way. Information Security concerns and issues may also be reported directly to the Information Technology Department.
