Phi SigmaTau Honor Society
Texas Nu Chapter
Phi Sigma Tau is the International Honor Society in philosophy. Phi Sigma Tau provides recognition of scholarly achievement, promotes the advancement of the philosophy discipline, and publishes significant academic communications. Phi Sigma Tau also provides a means for continuation of members' philosophical education following graduation, as well as graduate and career counseling.
Mission Statement
The purpose of Phi Sigma Tau is to encourage interest and activity among students and to promote ties between philosophy departments in accredited institutions.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Complete three semesters of college coursework.
- Have completed (or are enrolled in) at least two courses in philosophy.
- Minimum cumulative GPA in philosophy of higher than 3.00.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
