Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society

Pi Gamma Mu recognizes academic excellence in the fields of anthropology, criminal justice, economics, cultural geography, history, international relations, social philosophy, social work, sociology, political science, and psychology.

Founded in 1924 at the College of William & Mary, Pi Gamma Mu is a member of the National Association of College Honor Societies. The organization offers its members opportunities to meet others with similar interests, receive academic and professional guidance, and compete for scholarships.
   

Mission Statement

The mission of Pi Gamma Mu is to encourage and promote excellence in the social sciences and to uphold the ideals of scholarship and service.

Membership Requirements:

  •  Junior or Senior standing
  •  Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25
  •  Minimum 20 hours in Social Sciences courses with minimum of 3.25 GPA in all such courses
