The University of Houston-Downtown is committed to ensuring students, staff, and faculty have an environment, safe to teach, and perform their duties as members of the university community.

The University of Houston-Downtown Police Department is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. UHPD encourages reports of all criminal and suspicious activity. When you report a crime, you assist in apprehending suspects and removing dangerous offenders from campus.

Please note that all UHD personnel are mandated reporters and are required to report any activity or information that puts you or others in danger. All records, including medical information, referrals, and evaluations, are kept confidential in accordance with federal and state laws under counseling and health services.

No person shall be subject to retaliation for filing a complaint or assisting in investigations by the University of Houston-Downtown.
