Kristina Mohr Raymond is the Director of Admissions and Recruitment at the University of Houston-Downtown.
 
In short, Kristina’s personal vision is, "To always strive for excellence, remain resilient, and achieve balance." She is a passionate leader and focused on enriching the collegiate environment through an engaging admission and recommending process, data-driven decision-making, and interactive event planning. Kristina is a highly collaborative individual and always looks to serve and advocate for others.

Kristina has earned several awards, including the 2020 LSC Focus Award and the 2020 Vision of Excellence award for exemplifying Lone Star College cultural beliefs, stellar academic advising, and dedication to helping students succeed. She was also recognized with the Phi Theta Kappa Tejas Award for her unwavering support to student success in 2018. In 2016, Kristina was awarded the Lone Star College-North Harris Staff Excellence Award.
 
Kristina oversees admissions operations and recruitment; oversees the admission process including the recruitment, evaluation, choice and matriculation of new undergraduate and graduate students. In consultation with the proper constituents, creates a comprehensive recruitment plan (including student search, print and electronic publications, web, and social media).
 
Kristina Mohr Raymond has worked in higher education for 17 years in outreach, recruitment, admissions, academic advising, new student orientation, and career and transfer programming and services. Throughout her professional career, Kristina has been cultivating school partnerships, addressing areas of need, and ultimately ensuring that all students have the resources needed to successfully transition. She continuously inspires students and staff with her boundless energy and enriches the collegiate environment through her collaborations with other campus departments, student organizations, and system-wide and regional committees to coordinate large-scale initiatives, conferences and professional development days.
 
Kristina's hobbies include listening to music, going to the movies, and Zumba!
